We recommend Vipre for small businesses with 10 computers or less. It will detect a virus, take corrective actions, and send you an email explaining what occurred. It’s compatible with macs and PCs. 

For larger businesses using cloud storage, there are cloud-based antivirus solutions available.

A firewall is your first defensive barrier. Its job is to stop harmful data before it gets on your network. It’s installed on a server or router. It has rules to stop malicious data packets. 

Your antivirus and antimalware software kicks in when something slips past your firewall. It quarantines the threatening files before they can fully activate and harm your data. They will remain contained until they’re removed.

The First Thing To Do When You Get a Virus

When you’re alerted your computer is infected, do not click any links, buttons, or windows even if they appear to be from trusted sources. Immediately press your computer’s power button and shut down your computer. When you reboot, run your antivirus application and see what it detects and what actions it recommends. In some cases, you may need to restore your system from a backup.
